Copyright notice
All material purchased from TVE is protected by copyright law. No copies may be made, and the materials must not be sold on to another party. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, you may only use the films for purposes of private study and entertainment. Materials purchased by educational institutions may be used for classroom screening or library research. Corporate and NGO buyers may use TVE materials in training sessions and for conference viewing.
Pricing policy
TVE operates a differential pricing policy which means that the price you pay will depend on what country you are in and what sort of organisation you are buying for (or you may be ordering as an individual), as well as how you are going to use the film(s). Thus a community or individual buyer in a low-income country will pay less than a corporate buyer in a high-income country. Educational buyers pay a price which reflects the fact that they will use the film with large numbers of viewers. Please see the table below.
TVE no longer produces VHS as standard. If you specifically require this format, please contact sales@tve.org.uk for a quote.

Delivery times
TVE aims to get your order to you as soon as possible. However, as TVE is a charity with limited resources, despatches may at times be delayed by other activities we are involved in. In all cases, if your order is urgent or required by a certain date, please make sure that we know. You can do this by sending an email when you complete your online order.
Air mail: Our target is to despatch all air mail orders within 5 days, but please allow 28 days for delivery before you contact us to chase up your order. Due to limitations imposed by Royal Mail in the UK, all orders weighing over 2 kg must be sent by courier.
Courier: If you opt for courier delivery, or your order weighs over 2 kg, and you order before 3pm GMT on a working day, we shall despatch the following working day. Delivery times to countries outside the UK will depend not only on our response time, but also on international transit times and customs procedures in the destination country, over which we have no control. Please feel free to email TVE's distribution department if you are concerned about your courier parcel.
Delivery problems
If your local postal authorities or our courier are unable to deliver successfully to the address you provide to us, then TVE will not be held liable for the non-delivery.
Our courier will try three times to deliver to valid addresses, and will contact us for further delivery information, so it is important that you provide as much information as possible, including contact telephone numbers. If your address is hard to locate or you have had delivery problems in the past, please give any delivery hints that will help the postal authorities to get your parcel to you.
Any parcels returned to TVE after unsuccessful delivery attempts will be returned to stock. If this happens, we will refund the price of the materials, but not the postage charges. If charges have been imposed on us by couriers because of non-delivery or return of undelivered parcels, then we reserve the right to pass those charges on to you, depending on individual circumstances.
Refund policy
TVE is happy to refund your money or exchange goods within 30 days of delivery, if we have sent the wrong materials, or if the materials are defective or damaged. If this is the case, please contact us so that we can make arrangements to have the faulty materials returned to us and the correct materials made and sent.
If you are purchasing as an individual (not an organisation) and live in an EU country, you also have the right to cancel your order within 7 days of delivery. If you wish to change your mind during this cooling off period, then you will be liable for the cost of returning the materials to our offices in London. If you cancel, then your money will be refunded.
Mistakes
If you accidentally order the wrong film, or you change your mind about ordering a film, please contact TVE as soon as possible.
Availability of titles
Most of the titles in TVE's catalogue are our own productions, which should continue to be available for the foreseeable future. However, from time to time we may, for various reasons, decide to remove titles from our catalogue without notice. This means that occasionally we may have to reply to your order telling you that a title is no longer available. This will generally be because distribution contracts have expired, or because the film is now inaccurate or insensitive. At all times, you are welcome to contact TVE for advice on selecting the right titles for your needs.
Technical information
Our online shop requires cookies and JavaScript (version 1.1 or later) to be enabled in your web browser. Cookies are short bits of text stored on your computer, rather than on our web server, and in our system they are used for two purposes:
- to identify your computer, so that orders from different people don't get mixed up. Your computer is simply assigned a number; the cookie doesn't store any private data.
- to store, temporarily, a list of the films you ordered. This cookie will automatically disappear, either when you close your browser, or when you place your order.
Using cookies and JavaScript is much quicker than sending pages back and forth to the server, and we do not expect all our customers to have lightning-fast internet connections.
