Earth Report XI: Race to Save the Albatross
The Albatross is beloved by poets and mariners alike. But according to the experts, most species of these ocean wanderers are in danger of extinction. It’s claimed a hundred thousand are needlessly killed every year. One man, the future king of Britain, has taken up the challenge to try and stop them being wiped out. Featuring interviews with HRH The Prince of Wales, this film investigates the fishing methods that are contributing to the destruction of the albatross, and the new low-cost techniques that can help to halt this destruction.
